Mrs. Shelby Jean Simmons Pigg, 73, of Coldwater, a long-time resident of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her residence. She was born March 31, 1945 in Grenada to Thomas J. and Agnes Woods Simmons. She had worked for many years as a clerk at Knights Inn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM noon until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include one daughter, Kim Melton(Jerry) of Coldwater; four sons, Bobby Gene Avery(Janice) of Grenada, Dewey Avery(Viki) of Grenada, Harold Pigg, Jr.(Sandy) of Holcomb and Terry Pigg(Myra) of Holcomb; four sisters, Phyllis Durham and Edna Cole, both of Grenada, Frankie Tartt of Oakland and Deborah Littlefield of Canton; three brothers, Thomas Simmons and Eddie Johnson, both of Grenada and Ben Simmons of Batesville; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Pigg, Sr., sister, Nancy Carroll; and a brother, Jerry Simmons.
