Mrs. Shirley Pyron Blount, 78, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021.  She was born April 16, 1942 in Charleston to Riley and Eddie Lucille Peters Pyron.  Shirley had worked for a number of years at Pennaco Hosiery and Care Inn.  She was a Baptist.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Magnolia Gardens at Paynes.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Howard Blount; two sons, Bill Blount(Vivian) and Wayne Blount(Cindy), both of Duck Hill; four granddaughters, Kristin Blount, Mikki Patterson, Melanie Brewer and Sara Marshall; and eight great-grandchildren, Jakob, Blaize, Atlas, Nichole, Mitchell, Kaylee, Leah and Gabe.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Stevens.

Pallbearers will be Cayman Blount, James "Jimmy" Blount, Jr., Kenzee Blount, Kyle Blount, Joel Cummins and Eugene "Bubba" Moore.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Davis and Larry Langkawel.
