Obituary

Mr. Sidney L. Clark, 99, of the Red Hill Community in Duck Hill, MS, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at his residence.  He was born July 15, 1921 in Big Creek to William Harvey and Ruth Seals Clark.  Mr. Clark was a member of Providence Baptist Church.  He was a dedicated cattleman and row crop farmer for more than 71 years.  He also ran the old cotton gin that was moved from the Graysport lake area to Gore Springs years ago.  He was a devout patriot being a WWII Veteran who served in the Army Battery B 44 th Coast Artillery Battalion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 28, 2020 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.  Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Calhoun County.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Glenda "Sissy" (McGee) Clark; one granddaughter and her husband, Wrenn and Ian Jolly; two grandsons and their wives, Lee and Leah Clark and Will and Brantley Clark; three great-granddaughters, Elora, Heidi and Sidney Clark; four great-grandsons, Charlie Wilkey and wife, Kayla, Eli Clark, Cross Clark and Jonah Clark all of the Providence/Red Hill Community; one niece, Carolyn Taylor and husband, Roy of Germantown, TN; one nephew, Mark Clark of Germantown, TN; and many cousins and special friends.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy (Murphree) Clark; and son, Richie Clark.

Pallbearers will be Bill Clark, Cross Clark, Eli Clark, Jonah Clark, Lee Clark, Will Clark, Jimmy Dinkelacker, Craig Parker and Charlie Wilkey.

The family of Mr. Sidney Clark wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Messina and staff; Adoration Hospice and staff especially his nurses, Carrie Blakely and Chanda Reed; Diane Mayo, Mary Love, Anne Davis, Larry Seal, Ian Jolly and Mary Flemming for all of their excellent care and love during this time.

The family requests any memorials be made to the Baptist Children's Village.
