Mr. Lyndon Ray "Sonny" Holder, 71, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 in Grenada.  Sonny was born May 7, 1951 in Vardaman to Hubert Ray Holder and the late Dorothy Jean Walls Holder.  He was a graduate of Vardaman High School and Mississippi State University where he received a degree in Education.  Sonny worked as a professional painter and also as a part-time truck driver.  He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.  Sonny was a devout Christian and loved to spend time in the Word and worship.  He will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband and a loyal son and brother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Stonefield Church of God at Cascilla.  Interment will follow in the Stonefield Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Holder of Grenada; father, Hubert Ray Holder of Houston; sister, Cecelia Knox(Dr. Edward) of Columbus; brother, Mike Holder(Judy) of Vardaman as well as nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Teresa Parker and two brothers, Jimmy Holder and Gene Holder.
