Mrs. Martha Sue Fowler Pyles, 86, of Duck Hill, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born December 12, 1930 in Montgomery County to Samuel Pleaton and Nettie Sanders Fowler. A devoted homemaker, she was a member of the Southside Church of Christ and retired after many years of service from Heatcraft. Sue was a loyal friend, confidante and prayer warrior with an unwavering faith in God always setting a Christ-like example. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Bro. Joey Gafford and Bro. Ken Salley officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery near Duck Hill. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, L.C. Pyles; one daughter, Delight Osborne (Clif) of Grenada; one son, Paul Pyles (Kathy) of Elliott; two sisters, Grace Grant of Grenada and Faye McGonagill of Duck Hill; one brother, Sam T. Fowler of Grenada; five grandchildren, Matthew Pyles, Daniel Osborne, Kaitlin Renfro, Pake Pyles and Lane Pyles and five great-grandchildren, Darby Renfro, Carson Renfro, Olivia Renfro, Reese Renfro and Donzie Osborne.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, A.B. Fowler and Campbell Fowler.

Pallbearers will be Steve Fowler, Malcom Grant, David McGonagill, Jason McGonagill, Daniel Osborne, Lane Pyles, Matthew Pyles and Pake Pyles.
