Mr. Thomas Hart "Tommy" Hudson, age 94, of Grenada, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.

Born on November 17, 1930, in Grenada, Mississippi, Tommy was the son of the late Herman Paul Hudson, Sr. and Ruby Jane Hart Hudson. Tommy attended John Rundle high school and graduated from Chamberlain Hunt Academy. He attended Northwest Junior College and Mississippi State University with a major in Agriculture. He later retired as Purchasing Agent at McQuay, Inc. in Grenada.

Tommy was a lifelong outdoorsman who found great joy in playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He especially loved swimming and water skiing at Grenada Lake. In his later years, he took pride in gardening and delighted in sharing his harvest with friends and neighbors.

A devoted and faithful member of First Baptist Church – Grenada, Tommy lived a life of quiet,  strength, kindness, and deep-rooted faith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ann Tillman Hudson; two daughters, Anne Hart Hudson Hames of Grenada and Laura Hudson Torrence (Cliff) of Los Angeles, CA; eight cherished grandchildren, Taylor Hart Hames, Bo Bickerstaff, Kathryn Bickerstaff, Madison Torrence, William Torrence, Victoria Torrence, Nicholas Torrence (Allison), and Christian Torrence; and five great-grandchildren, Jackson Bickerstaff, Adalyn Torrence, Kasen Torrence, Evie Torrence, and Henry Torrence.

He is also survived by his nephew, Peter Hudson, and nieces April Parker, Shauna Slawson, Kelly Guffey.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herman Paul Hudson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church – Grenada, with Dr. Jim Nunnelee and Rev. Zach Sanford officiating. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at the church.

Honoring Tommy as pallbearers will be Tripp Beardain, Bo Bickerstaff, Taylor Hames, Ben Liles, David McElwrath and Cliff Torrence.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Artman, Keith Beardain, David Deck, Phillip Heard, Andrew Kerr, Ben McElwrath, Buddy Neal, Howard Robertson, Nicholas Torrence, William Torrence and Frank Weir.

In remembrance of a life well lived, As 2 Timothy 4:6 says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. " Tommy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
