Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Proctor, 55, of Grenada, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. He was born June 18, 1961 in Greenville to William Dotson and Janette Ouida Barr Proctor. He was a plumber and electrician by trade and enjoyed over 30 years of work in Grenada and the surrounding area. After 23 years of service, he retired as a staff Sergeant in the Mississippi Army National Guard where he served our country during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada with Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Proctor; one daughter, Kelly Walters (Andy) of Grenada; three sons, Steven Thomas Proctor (April) of Grenada, Christopher Wayne Cooper and Michael Anthony Cooper, both of Grenada; his father, William D. "Dot" Proctor; two sisters, Connie McDonald (Eddie) of Winona and Sheila Barfield (Will) of Grenada; one brother, Steve Proctor (Myron) of Grenada; and five grandchildren, Austin Downs, Joshua Downs, Riley Cooper, Zackery Cooper and Josie Proctor and a host of nieces and nephews.
