Mr. Victor Michael Murphy, 83, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  He was born November 6, 1941 in Harrisburg, PA to Victor Randolph and Viola Sume Murphy.  Vic worked in offshore construction for many years and was a Master Well Driller.  He also honorably served our country in the US Navy.  In addition to fishing and wood working, Vic possessed a particular affinity to panning for gold when he lived in Arizona.  Vic also enjoyed baking bread and sharing it with his friends and loved ones.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial service plans are private.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rochelle Janssen Murphy; two sons, Patrick Murphy(Ava) of Ridgeland and Mardy Murphy(Teresa) of Grenada; three grandchildren, Andrew Brendel(Kristen), Danielle Brown(K.J.) and Samantha Murphy; and two great-grandchildren, Zander and Zane Brendel.

Vic is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
