Mr. Virgil Kimbrell, 76, of Gore Springs, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 18, 1942 in Drew to James Lawson and Ruby Lee Taylor Kimbrell. Virgil was a retired carpenter and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:30 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Laurence Justice and Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Family and friends will gather from 5:00 PM until service time Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Shirlon Kimbrell; four daughters, Lisa Carroll (James) of New Hope, AL, Annette Jarrell of Winter Haven, FL, Tina Enfinger of Guntersville, AL and Linda Kay Janasiak (Jerald) of Warne, NC; one step-daughter, Marquittia Wilson of Pontotoc; two step-sons, Roger Loeffel of New Albany and Keith Loeffel of Gore Springs; one sister, Mattie Havens of New Castle, OK; one brother, Jimmy Kimbrell of Gore Springs; 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Ray Kimbrell.
