Mrs. Virginia Anne Parker Philley, 77, of Grenada, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She was born November 15, 1938 in Coffeeville to Edgar Larce and Della Mae Williams Parker. She was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. Brent Barker and Rev. J. Barry Worrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Broom Cemetery near Coffeeville. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Philley Ware of Southaven; one son, David Philley and his wife, Lori of Olive Branch; one sister, Elsie Shaw of Coffeeville; one brother, Joe Parker of Meridian; and three grandchildren, Wyatt Philley, Kaitlyn Philley and Kendell Philley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alton Leon Philley.
