The world lost a beloved mother, Vonda Welch Clanton, on July 1, 2022. She was born to the late Charles and Faye Welch in Grenada, MS on July 31, 1933, and was a resident of Francois Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care in Gonzales, LA.

Our Mother and Granny walked into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on July 1, 2022, to join and celebrate with all those who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her husband James Paul Clanton, Sr.; Parents, Charles and Faye Boone Welch; sisters, Mary Welch, Inez (Inky) Welch, Betty Lovorn, Sue Kelly; and her brother, Charles Welch, Jr. (Sonny).

She was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by her four children; Debra Craft of Gonzales, LA; Patricia and Joe Keys of Fort Smith, AR; Sharon and Mike Riggs of Florence, AL; and Paul and Pam Clanton of Kennesaw, GA. She had ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

We invite family and friends to attend Graveside Services on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery; 1058 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Grenada, MS 38901. McKibben and Guinn are providing funeral services.
