IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William
Heath
February 26, 1950 – January 1, 2024
Mr. William Bradford Heath, 73, of the Elliott Community, passed away January 1, 2024 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born February 26, 1950 to Hampton B. & K.C. Heath. William will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who loved his church & his family. He was handicapped his entire life, but he was a fiercely independent person who was determined to live on his own til the end after his parents died. William loved the Bethel Church in Carroll County where he grew up and where he will be buried. In 1981, he joined Grace Methodist Church in Grenada where he was a faithful member for many years. He always was at church early making sure everything was ready for the service, doing everything from folding bulletins to adjusting the air or heat. In 2010 & 2011 he was chosen the Lay Person of the Year for Grace Church. He was very proud of this honor. He would gladly tell you that he was saved and going to Heaven one day.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2024 at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Rick Shepherd and Rev. Bob Cannizzaro officiating. Interment will follow in the Heath Family Plot in the Bethel Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include brother, David Heath(Mary Anne), sister, Janice Snell(Thomas), brother, Herman Heath(Frankie) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ray Britt, Brad Heath, Jamie Heath, Wesley Heath, Chance Melton and Daniel Melton will honor William by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
