Mrs. Willie Paul Bennett Trotter, 98, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.  She was born April 20, 1925 in Carroll County, MS to Aaron Moody and Bessie Slocum Bennett.  A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Trotter was a skilled seamstress and also enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers.  She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with her nephew, Mr. Wilton Neal, and her grandson, Mr. Mark Davis, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Family and friends will gather 30 minutes prior to the service Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Davis(Jimmy) of Grenada and Susan Fletcher(Bill) of Clinton; four grandchildren, Christan Toney(Jerry), Mark Davis(Laura), Jessica Thornton(James) and Jeremy Fletcher(Melissa); seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Christopher Davis, Leala Toney, Parker Toney, Rilan Fletcher, Mason Fletcher and Stoney Fletcher and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Trotter and seven siblings, Clarence Bennett, Louise Barrentine, Katie Bennett, Bertha Porter, Lillie Mae Woods, Janie Eldridge and Gladys Johnson.

Christopher Davis, Jonathan Davis, Mark Davis, Jeremy Fletcher, James Thornton, Jerry Toney and Parker Toney will honor Mrs. Trotter by serving as pallbearers.
