It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. William Landon "W.L." DuBard, age 86, of the Jefferson Community of Carroll County. W.L. peacefully departed this life on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona.

Born on December 10, 1939, in Carroll County, W.L. was the son of the late John Thomas DuBard, Sr. and Ruby DeLoach DuBard. He dedicated many years of service as a maintenance supervisor at Baldwin Piano Company in Greenwood.

W.L. found great joy in the simple, beautiful gifts of nature. As a true master gardener, he took pride in cultivating the earth, never happier than when he was sharing the bountiful harvest from his garden with his neighbors. A man of the outdoors, he also found peace and fulfillment in hunting and fishing. His faith was an anchor in his life, and he was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church.

W.L. leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and deep rooted faith. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Jefferson. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Jean DuBard; daughter, Jennifer Liddell(Tim) of Jefferson; son, David DuBard(Stephanie) of Jefferson; brother, J.T. DuBard of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Katie Thomas Hood(Jeremy), Hannah Thomas, Tori DuBard and John Landon DuBard; and one great-granddaughter, Madeline Hood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jim Thomas; and three sisters, Ruby Loden, Elizabeth Walters and Dot Martin.

Benji Britt, Kirk Clements, John Landon DuBard, Jeremy Hood, Caleb Salers, Vinnie Williams and Josh Worsham will honor Mr. DuBard by serving as pallbearers.
